Advanced Care Membership

  • Is Primestin Care Membership considered health insurance?

    No, Primestin Care membership is not insurance. Primestin Care provides a healthcare membership based on the direct primary care (DPC) payment model – an innovative alternative payment model that consists of a flat and affordable membership fee. 

  • Is there a directory of specialists, primary care providers and urgent care facilities that I can view?

    Primestin Care Advanced membership does not include walk-ins to primary care or urgent care facilities. To curtail walk-ins from occurring, we do not share clinic information until a member schedules an appointment through our care coordination team. 

  • How soon can I expect to have an in person visit?

    Timeline of coordination of specialist visits will vary depending on the specialist the member needs to see, if the specialists are taking new patients, and the area the member is located. Our care coordinators diligently work to get a member scheduled in a timely manner and will keep in communication with the member during this process. If appropriate, the member will be advised to utilize their virtual care benefits while they are waiting for an in person visit. 

  • Can I see any specialist, primary care provider or urgent care facility with this membership?

    Providers and facilities will need to be added to the Primestin Care partnership list before the member goes to their appointment. If the member is needing an in person appointment, they must call our care coordination team at (435) 281-2273. 

  • How can I use my $250 lab allowance?

    A member can call our care coordination team at (435)-281-2273 to be issued a virtual card that they can use to pay for up to $250 in labs that have been ordered by a provider. 

  • How can I access virtual visits with a clinician?

    You can access your virtual visits via the Primestin Care app. The app is available in the IOS and Google Play store. 

  • When can I request a telemedicine visit?

    You can request telemedicine at any time. Our telemedicine clinicians are available 24/7. 

  • How can I access my mental health resources?

    Download the TalkspaceGo app, available in both IOS App Store and Google Play Store. Enter code Primestin at registration to access your mental health resources instantly!

  • What kind of care coordination does Primestin Care provide to its members?

    Our dedicated care coordinators help schedule specialist appointments, arrange lab services, and coordinate any in-person care you may need. We also assist with navigating membership benefits, managing referrals, and ensuring seamless transitions between providers. Whether it’s coordinating mental health support, follow-up care, or finding the right healthcare resources, Primestin Care is here to simplify the process and ensure you receive the best possible care.

  • Does my membership include mental health visits with a therapist?

    Yes, Primestin has partnered with Talkspace to grant you 3 months of access to a licensed therapist, with two virtual visits per month and regular text, audio and video messaging to your therapist for an additional $50 each month. If you wish to continue seeing your therapist after 3 months, you can do this at a rate of $200 per month. To receive your voucher, call our care coordinators through the Primestin Care app to get started.

  • What kind of specialist visits are included in my membership?

    Common specialists we will add to our partner list are OBGYN's, Pediatricians, Dermatologists, Allergists, Ortho, Psychiatrists, and Endocrinologists. Other specialists not listed above may be approved. Call our care coordination team through the Primestin Care app for more information.

  • Can I be reimbursed for in person visits?

    No, we do not issue reimbursements for members. You will need to call our care coordination team in advance through the Primestin Care app in order to be set up with a primary care, specialist or urgent care visits. You can access telemedicine visits in the Primestin Care app 24/7 without needing to call the care coordination team first.

  • Do you allow for virtual specialist visits, and do I still need to pay the visit fee?

    We do allow for virtual specialist visits. Many times, a member requests a specialist that also does telemedicine services for their patients. The specialist visit fee of $50 still applies, and the booking of the appointment follows the same process for in person visit approvals. Please call our care coordination team through the Primestin Care app to get started.
